Principled approach to Israel.
"It will be seen in years to come, that we in the Labour Party were at the forefront of principled opposition to what we deemed were the illegal acts of the Israeli government. People will remember our consistent raising of eyebrows, tutting and frowning. When news came in of another atrocity, what did we do? We made clear statements of how concerned we were. Again and again, we were straight with the British people: we were concerned. And throughout this time we stood by our ally, Israel, by ensuring that she could defend herself against terrorism. People will remember us for this and be grateful for how firm we were in our resolve, how strong we were to hold to these principled positions. We come from the very best democratic traditions of the British people, and that's why people will remember our eyebrow-raising, our tutting and above all, our principled frowning."
